On Saturday, 17 September
2011; I was contacted by my friend Tori Turner as she needed help to film some
amateur wrestling in South Shields at a community centre.
Naturally thinking it would
be good experience I took her up on her offer.
We sorted some stuff out
and went through a few things about what we were going to do, then we began by
filming little bits and pieces of people setting up the wrestling ring.
Shortly sometime after Tori
had to leave out she had to take a tripod and camera back to Newcastle.
However when she was soon
to return to South Shields where I was her car broke down and so she was unable
to get back to where I was.
This is a terrible shame
and quite unfortunate, it would’ve been nice if she was able to get back and
help me to film the wrestling.
So as it turned out I had
to do all of the filming myself, I think I got some good footage which I check
once I got home.
The way the cameras were
set up, whereas follows: we had a Sony handicap and on a tripod sitting on top
of a sturdy table to get a decent height advantage and a good overview of the
wrestling going on within the ring.
There was also a second
camera of which I cannot remember them make but it was quite a small thing,
this was used for handheld shots around the ring itself.
I believe some decent and
quite good footage was recorded of the young amateur wrestler’s going at it and
pulling off various moves.
From what I hear though
unfortunately the promo video fell through, I however do not know what the
reasons were for this.
